AUGUST MEETING
With nearly 100 people in attendance, our guests from Kenya felt warmly received at the monthly GROWTH meeting in August. We were blessed to hear from Rev Dr Eli Rop as he shared his appreciation for our love and support of the girls school and our pad project for them. JULY MEETING 2012

October 8, 2012: Kick-Off for It's Our Mission: Period!
"A Stitch In Time" was the theme for the October meeting of GROWTH which also served as the official Kick-Off for the new season of:
It's Our Mission: Period! Individuals from all over Michigan came to gather more information about this project and how they could be involved. After a presentation of the need and proposed solution, tutorials and demonstrations with work stations were given. Patterns and instructions were distributed and folks left with enthusiasm and energy to move forward with this great project. The next sewing bee/work day is Thursday, April 11 at Lamont Community Church. You are welcome to come any time from 10am on and stay as long as you would like. Refreshments will be provided. Bring your machines, fabric, scissors, cutting wheels and mats. We need folks to stack, cut, trace, sew and snap so EVERYONE is welcome ~ Let's see what we can get done!
