AUGUST 13, 2012 Meeting

With nearly 100 people in attendance, our guests from Kenya felt warmly received at the monthly GROWTH meeting on August 13th.

Although a missed flight down in Orlando caused our guests to drive throughout the day and night to make it up to Michigan to the meeting -- the angels ushered them in, right on time! We were blessed to hear from  Rev Dr Eli Rop as he shared his appreciation for our love and support of the girls school and our pad project for them.

We were blessed with special music by a talented young woman, Sarena Chandelor.  Donna shared the message of the needs of the young women in Kenya and how the pad project began.

The project was on display for everyone to see -- and many new faces were there to check out the project and find out how they could be involved.

Guests were welcomed by beautiful red, white and black tables dressed with Black-eyed Susans, African-print napkins and tableware.  Mango sorbet was a refreshing treat for all.
